Acoustic Enclosures – Acoustic Housings and Demountable Enclosures
We have considerable experience, software, and design solutions for acoustic enclosures in whatever format is required.
We have standard enclosures, generally from stock for heat pump, air-conditioning and VRF air-conditioning units, we can also design bespoke solutions to suit exact requirements.
On any enclosure, it is most important to determine key components, methodology of intended use and all aspects regarding access and maintenance including any future proofing details.
Our software programme simplifies all acoustic design requirements to ensure the most cost-effective solutions are determined and all elements of the environment are dealt with in a controlled and accepting manner.

Our enclosures are designed to utilise cost effective standard modular components with simple solutions for assembly.
We can provide fully framed fabrications with internal structural steelwork when required
In our knowledge of design, our enclosure can be provided with many features, some of these for example include:
- Removable panels, access hatches, visual inspection ports, window / glazed viewing panel, access door for personnel, materials, maintenance purposes (these can be removable), single, double, or sliding hydraulic, electrical, or manual operations all provided.
- Enclosures can be free standing via panel work interlocking structural solutions or structural frameworks can be provided with wind, snow and all other structural design implications included into the design.
- On fully panelled enclosures and when required, we can provide internal ventilation for enclosed plant to resolve any heat gain issues. Obviously natural or air-conditioning can also be considered.
- Any internal lifting provisions will be included, and structural framework will also be included when required. The enclosure can be provided with a floor or structural floor to enable enclosure and plant to be lifted by a lifting company.
- The enclosure can be provided galvanised, polyester powder paint to standard RAL colour or alternatives will be considered.
- All our enclosures have been acoustically tested and will be provided to achieve the noise level reduction requested.
- We can also provide enclosures that are completely demountable or semi demountable.
- We can also provide attenuation for the operations of plant installed internally. These attenuators on intake and discharge will be designed to achieve airflows and all acoustic requirements, keeping resistance to a minimum. If the internal plant needs further airflow, assistance mechanical ventilation can be provided. This ventilation can be controlled via an inverter so airflows can be completely matched.
Air Conditioning Unit Standard Enclosure
The NSL Jaguar, Panther and Lynx enclosures are off-the-shelf acoustic treatment for single and dual fan split style A/C units. Each enclosure is capable of noise reductions of up to 20dB.
The product is provided with removable panels on all sides, attenuated intake/discharge apertures and an internal dividing plenum chamber. Where space is limited, these enclosures can be stacked to reduce the overall footprint of a plant installation.
Finishes:
Enclosure are available in various constructions and finishes. These typically include:
- Standard pre-galvanised mild steel.
- Polyester powder painted, available in various paint colours.
- Stainless steel.
- Specialist painted finishes when requested.
