Acoustic Louvres

Acoustic louvres can be used in a wide range of applications. Whilstreducing noise, they also allow airflow to pass through. Obviously with the angle blades, this provides good weatherproof protection when fitted into an external opening.

Acoustic weather louvres are generally manufactured in modular sections to aid installation. The outer framework provides good structural support for all manner of applications. We can also design all supporting steelwork details which will include any wind loads issues. The support steelwork is an integral part of the integrated screen and barrier type applications.

We have a wide range of types and sizes, typical depths being 150mm, 270/300mm and 540mm. But these sizes can be amended to suit acoustic performance required or physical dimensional limitations.

Finishes:

  • Galvanised
  • Polyester powder paint to any standard RAL colour
  • Plastisol
  • Stove enamel
  • Any other finishes can also be considered.

We have other optional features which include:

Flanges being internal or external to allow acoustic louvres to be fitted into building type openings. This flange can act as a picture framework to make the installation more appealing.

On the rear elevation of the louvre, a bird mesh or insect mesh can be installed.

Acoustic louvres can be provided in a chevron arrangement which is generally two louvre modules back-to-back. This has the advantage of increase noise reduction and lower resistance, making for better airflow conditions to be achieved.

We can also make these louvres in stainless steel finish for more arduous applications with the internal protected in a melinex lining solution which is resistant to most airflow conditions with regards to dust, water, or oil type substances.

All acoustic and chevron louvres are selected using our software programme and we can provide full details regarding pressure, aerodynamic and noise reductions for all manner of applications and product solutions.
